Simon Rogan, President of Bocuse d’Or Team UK and chef owner of L’Enclume in Cartmel, Roganic and Aulis in London and Roganic in Hong Kong, will be launching a unique series of fundraising events at TRUEfoods in Ripon, Yorkshire.
Rogan, whose Hong Kong restaurant was recently awarded a Michelin star within 10 months of opening, will take over an already sold out CHEFStable on Saturday 25 January. The dinners are a key element of the support offered by TRUEfoods, to help Team UK reach the podium in the world’s largest and most prestigious chef contest – the Bocuse d’Or. The Yorkshire-based company is the Lead Culinary partner for UK Bocuse d’Or, supporting talent on the road to the world final in Lyon 2021.
Each of the dinners will be cooked and hosted by some of the UK’s best chefs. Following Simon Rogan will be Tom Sellers, chef patron of Restaurant Story in London, where he secured a Michelin star aged just 26 and within just five months of opening. Prior to Restaurant Story, Tom has worked with industry legends both here and abroad, including Tom Aikens, Thomas Keller at Per Se and René Redzepi at Noma.
Alyn Williams has worked in some of the best kitchens in the UK and trained under Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay for over 10 years. He opened his first restaurant Alyn Williams at The Westbury in 2011, both securing a Michelin star and winning National Chef of the Year the following year. He held the Michelin star until his contract ended in October 2019 and is now working on a new venture for the summer.
Tom Sellers will cook on Saturday 8 February and Alyn Williams on Friday 28 February. More chefs and dates will be announced in the coming months.
TRUEfoods CHEFStable is an open kitchen, a fantastic venue for an ‘Up, Close and Personal’ chef event. It provides an intimate and interactive dining experience for up to ten guests. Each dinner is based on a warm welcome and exceptional food where diners are able to see up close how talented and skilled chefs deliver fantastic dishes. The chefs are the host, guiding diners through the whole evening, a true culinary treat.
Guests on Saturday 25 January will be welcomed with canapés and Exton Park with Simon Rogan Rosé NV sparkling wine and will then be taken to the chefs table. Other sponsors of the dinner include Aubrey Allen, Berkmann Wines, Irish Beef, Ritter Courivaud, TRUEfoods and Wellocks.

Guests at Simon’s dinner will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine and canapés served in The Shed. They will then be led to the CHEFStable where they will be shown techniques used by the chefs and invited to perhaps participate during the evening.
